Join Julie Sebastian as she discusses the different types of business entities available for small business owners, as well as the pros and cons of each entity type. She will discuss how choosing a business entity impacts corporate record requirements, tax implications and liability protection, as well as structural best practices for small business owners who are looking to raise funds, provide incentive equity packages and/or undergo an exit event.

About the Presenters: 

Julie Sebastian is a Partner in the Corporate Practice of Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP. Ms. Sebastian has substantial experience in mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance. She has represented both publicly and privately held companies and has worked with companies in a wide range of industries, including construction, heavy metals manufacturing and technology. Ms. Sebastian received her B.A., magna cum laude, from Hope College where she was a presidential scholar. She received her J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Tennessee College of Law where she was a member of the Order of the Coif and the Tennessee Law Review. Ms. Sebastian is admitted to practice in Georgia.
